Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She's the co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well being the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, writer, philanthropist and television host and the owner of The Huffington Post. Born in Greece and moved to England at the age of sixteen. In Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in Economics. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first presidency and she did it before the age of 21. Following graduation, she left her mark as an editorialist for the conservative syndicate and with the launch of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed an online voice platform that gave critical opinions regarding the state of affairs. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna became famous after she decided to stand as an independent Candidate for the California Recall Election to replace former Governor Davis. Additionally, she was involved in an initiative in Detroit that promoted efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes named her the "most influential woman" in the media industry with her ranking at the 12th spot. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 top media personalities in 2009. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was made president of this media group. It included a variety of AOL products at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli was the daughter of Konstantinos, a Journalism and management expert. While she enjoyed a strong friendship with both her father and mother, it was their bond that shaped her. Through her early years, she exhibited abilities to lead, and for this she is still well-known. In the year she turned 16, she moved from America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. While in college she was a member of the Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college where she eventually became its first foreign female president. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of master's in Economics. Her career as an anchor and reporter was born after graduation. She also appeared in the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books taking editorial help from him.
