Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well being the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news outlet and a television host author, author and charitable donor. After moving into England from Greece at the age of 16 and obtaining an MA in Economics at Cambridge University. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it before the age of 21. A conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she became an influential voice for the Huffington Post. The celebrity she enjoyed helped her to convince several celebrities to contribute their opinion about current affairs, culture and politics. Arianna rose to fame in 2003 after she decided to contest for a non-partisan position in the California recall vote to succeed the then governor Davis. Additionally, she was involved in a Detroit-based project that promoted cars that are fuel efficient. Forbes listed her 12th in its list for the Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their top 100 list in the year 2010. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her the president of their media company and also included several the other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter born to Konstantinos an advisor to management and a journalist. While she enjoyed a strong connection to both of her parents, it was their bond that shaped her. At an early age, she displayed leadership qualities that remain highly respected. When she was 16, she moved from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. In the years of her university she was a member of the Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman and the only president from outside the country. In 1972 she received a degree in Economics. In the years following after graduation she was an editor of the critic's column and a television host. She also appeared in an edition of Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books, utilizing editorial guidance from Bernard Levin.
