Amber Benson, an American musician, producer and singer is also a writer. Her most recognizable part is that of Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Alongside that, she's produced, directed and starred for her own films Chance & Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson, her artist younger sister. The father of her is Jewish as is her mom. She raised Southern Baptist Benson grew up in an Reform synagogue in Alabama. Benson was first seen in films, like The Killing Jar.
